This VCF file is not directly viewable in the iXpand Drive App or on a computer. This file can be imported to iOS devices to restore contacts to the native Contacts app. NOTE: When you choose to backup your contacts a backup VCF file is created. In order to save the backup of Android device to PC, first, you need to install MyPhoneExplorer app in Android device. This is particularly valuable when moving to a new iPhone or iPad Once you have connected to the Google Photos account, you can easily back it up by clicking the backup iconīack Up and Restore Contacts Create a backup contact file and restore it when needed. The App will backup the photos you have uploaded to your Google Photos account.ĥ. The iXpand Drive App will find all the photos stored on the Google Photos account and ask to back them upĦ. NOTE: You must authorize the iXpand Drive app to access your Google Photos account. You will be prompted to sign into the Google Photos account using your username and password specific to that account. Connect the iXpand Flash Drive to your iPhone or ipad, and open the iXpand Drive AppĢ. Choose the Backup and Restore selection from the home screenĤ. The iXpand Flash Drive can be used to backup the photos you have uploaded to Google Photos.ġ. WARNING: Photos with the same name will be duplicated to your Camera Roll when restored. The default folder is Camera Roll Backup. This will copy the photos from the destination/source folder selected to the camera roll on the iPhone or iPad. To restore Photos from the iXpand Flash Drive to the iPhone or iPad, Choose the Restore option. The iXpand Flash Drive can be used to copy photos to a new iPhone or iPad. You will need to empty the recently deleted folder of the native Photos app to free up the space on your iOS device after you choose to delete Photos from your iPhone or iPad. NOTE: iOS only allows third party apps to move files into the recently deleted folder of the Native Photos App. Choose OK to continue.Īfter the backup has completed, an option will pop up to delete the copied photos from the camera roll of the iPhone or iPad ![]() NOTE: The iXpand Flash Drive will ask you for access to your Photos the first time. For the Backup option, the default folder is the Camera Roll Backup folder on the iXpand Flash Drive. You can choose the Restore from option to restore photos to your camera roll. This option will also appear during the initial set up screens shown when you first connect your Drive. Turn on Automatic back up by sliding the switch. You can back up your camera library to the iXpand Flash Drive by setting up auto-back up or manually back up as needed.
